2008-2009 HTWA Coaching Staff

Pete Oraschewsky

Pete started coaching the youth level with football in 1983. He has coached football, soccer, baseball and wrestling. Pete is currently a U-16 Division I travel soccer coach, Manager of the Haverford Township Little League Orioles and is on the board of the Haverford Township Little League. Coach Pete is also a Baseball Umpire and Wrestling Referee. He wrestled in high school and says he has a ton of fun coaching youth wrestling for the past six years. In addition to coaching, he has taken on the responsibilities of "Pairings" host.

Chester Rozanski

Chester Rozanski has lived in Haverford Township for 13 years. His passion for wrestling dates back to his high school experience. He wrestled varsity for New Castle High School in New Castle, Pa.

This will be Chester’s 7^th year of involvement with the Haverford Youth Wrestling program. In addition to coaching, he has taken on the responsibilities of League Representative. He has two sons currently participating in the program.

Chester derives great satisfaction from helping children develop their wrestling skills and seeing them become more self-confident. He is committed to the success of this program.

John Jones

John, son of Haverford High School’s varsity wrestling coach, began his wrestling career in the Haverford Township youth program. He wrestled for Haverford High School all four years with great achievement. He was selected All Delaware County in his senior year and was named to Delaware County Daily Times Athletic Honor Roll, as well. John chalked up approximately 70 varsity wins and missed qualifying for the state tournament by one match. He is happy to help our youth team and looks forward to giving back to our Haverford wrestling family what he has gained in his many years as a wrestler.

John Harris

Frank Thomas

This is Frank’s fourth year coaching with Haverford Township Youth Wrestling. In addition to wrestling, he has coached youth soccer and baseball. Frank wrestled all through High School at Haverford High School and has found what he learned in wrestling (sportsmanship, determination, etc.) is useful in all aspects of his life.

Ed's wrestling experience began in 2005-2006 when his son, Alex, started wrestling for Haverford Youth Wrestling. This is his fourth season of helping to coach the team. He also coaches youth baseball for Haverford Township Little League.

In addition to coaching, Ed is also the webmaster of this website. Any contributions to the site are welcome. Please send your photos, write-ups of the meets/tournaments, poems about wrestling, etc. to the HTWA contact email address and we will find place for them on the site.
